Give me 10-seconds....
And I'll make your job search 10x more productive. 1- Resumes are not dead (or dying) and are a critical component of a job search for 99% of job seekers. Tailor your resume for EVERY position you apply to! Simply put- you'll get more interviews. 2- A job search need not be your "9-5". Please don't do that to yourself as it is extremely stressful. Have a plan the night before, then execute a 4 or 5 hour search. Here’s a sample framework: conduct your search for 60-90 minutes, then take a 5 or 10 minute break. Repeat 3 or 4 times during the day and you’ll be far more productive than if you sat at your desk for 8-hours (plenty of studies tell us how unproductive this is). BONUS- you'll have a few hours left each day to combat stress and do things you actually ENJOY. 3- Stand out as a world class candidate at every touch point- resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile. Ensure your digital footprint is positive and professional. When you become their top candidate- you have room to negotiate a better SALARY and perks. 4- It's important enough to say again- give yourself plenty of time to REST, relax and do things you enjoy! If you look, feel and act your best, it will shine through in your interviews! Good luck in your search!
